All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling: This counselling is conducted by MCC. 15% of seats are reserved in all government medical colleges, and 100% of seats in deemed universities such as Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College.
State Quota Counselling: The State separately conducts this counselling process. This process has 85% seats in government medical colleges, and for state medical colleges, 100% seats are available.
New Changes in NEET AIQ Counselling 2025
There will be some changes in the NEET AIQ counselling process in 2025. For your ease of understanding, please read below:
- There will be 4 rounds of AIQ counselling in 2025. The names of these rounds are Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
- There will be no upgradation facility from Round 2.
- Candidates who acquire the seats in Round 2 will not be eligible to resign or join further rounds.
- Candidates who do not accept a seat in Round 2 have to re-register for the Mop-up Round and have to face the penalty of their security fee.

- Candidates have to register for the NEET 2025 Counselling. They are required to visit the MCC website or the respective state website for the registration process. Registration can be done using the NEET roll number, application number, and personal details.
- Then, candidates have to make the payment for the counselling process. The payment fee may differ based on state and type of institution.
- Now, students have to make choices. They have to fill the colleges and courses as per their choice and lock them before the deadline.
- Counselling authorities will allot a seat to students as per their choices, NEET rank, and availability of seats.
- After the above steps, students will get the result. They can download the provisional seat allotment letter.
- Students can now report to the allotted college with original documents like marksheets, etc. Here, students have to confirm the admission by paying the fees.
